Community Benefits
Site A proposes to deliver 958m2 of retail facilities. The location adjacent to Canada Water Station makes it an excellent location for retail facilities which will complement the new shops, cafés and restaurants provided on the B sites. Included within the proposals is the potential for a new small supermarket to be positioned at the ground floor of the tall building on Site A. Site A also offers a community facility of 268m2 with funding from the developer to enable the end user to fit out the facility. Discussions are ongoing within the Council about the end user of this facility.
Public Realm
A high-quality public realm has been at the forefront of the proposals for Canada Water taking up a quarter of the site as a whole. The proposals for Site A seek to build upon the area's many strengths by retaining and enhancing existing links. New green linkages and green spaces will be provided creating a richer more sustainable environment for all residents of Canada Water.
